The Swing Speed Radar (SSR) and Swing Speed Radar with Tempo Timer (SSRTT) are popular devices used by professional clubmakers, golf instructors and serious players striving to improve their game As we know quite well, enjoyment of the game of golf is enhanced when a golfer can hit the ball farther and maintain the swing consistency needed for lower scores. Swing speed relates directly to distance and consistent tempo time translates to consistent ball striking. With custom-fitted equipment and personal instruction, golfers can achieve their optimum performance and enjoyment of the game. The SSR and SSRTT provide immediate real-time feedback on two important swing characteristics--clubhead swing speed and tempo time. Many clubmakers prefer these affordable devices for their convenience and flexibility of use for club fitting. Many re-sell the SSR or SSRTT to their customers for their personal use.
Now the flexibility and utility of the SSR and SSRTT is improved further with the addition of a Wireless Bluetooth Radar Data Link (WBRDL). The user no longer has to be within close proximity to the SSR or SSRTT display to read the data, but can be in the best vantage points to observe and optimize the players swing and equipment. Transmission ranges out to 100 feet have been demonstrated . Any Bluetooth-enabled devices such as a mobile 'phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer can receive the data. Data can be introduced into files or spreadsheets that facilitate compilation, storage, review, analyses, and progress history.
An App has been developed to accompany the WBRDL to enable Bluetooth pairing. The WBRDL will be retro-fittable into existing devices and will also be available factory-installed in new SSRs and SSRTTs. It will be available for purchase in the second quarter of 2012 at a projected retail price of $79.95. Sports Sensors, Inc. is compiling a list of those interested in purchasing the WBRDL, either alone or installed in a new SSR or SSRTT.
