    Three-time LPGA Tour winner Brittany Lincicome battled back from a shaky start to shoot three-under-par 69 at the RICOH Women's British Open.

    Rolex Rankings No. 5 Yani Tseng and No. 28 Katherine Hull fired first round 4-under par 68's to lead the RICOH Women's British Open at historic Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport, England. They hold a one-stroke advantage over Brittany Lincicome, Amy Yang, Sun-Young Yoo and France's Anne-Lise Caudal. Rolex Rankings No. 11 In-Kyung Kim and No. 12 Michelle Wie stand two behind Tseng and Hull. A host of others, including 50-year old Juli Inkster, Rolex Rankings No. 1 Jiyai Shin and rookie Gwladys Nocera, are three back.

    Rolex Rankings No. 3 and 14-time LPGA Tour winner Cristie Kerr took time at the RICOH Women's British Open to make a young girl's wish come true. 10-year-old avid golfer Stephanie Ballay from Guernsey wrote a letter to the Round Table Children's Wish with the request to meet her favorite professional golfer Cristie Kerr. The wish made its way into the hands of the LGU who contacted Kerr.
