2010 Board of Directors Election

The 2010 International Clubmakers Guild Board of Directors Election process has begun.

There is a thread in the Guild Business forum, which is intended to provide members the opportunity to participate in th 2010 Board of Directors election nomination process. At present we have three, 3-year Board seats that will expire at the end of March 2010. One of those seats was vacated last year when Hugh Townend resigned, and the other two are presently being filled by Jim Cook and Charlie Blume, both who are eligible to seek full, 3-year terms during this year's election, and are encouraged to do so.

The nomination process will remain open from now through Sunday, 21 February. A member may submit a self-nomination or nominate another ICG member. In the event a member is nominated by another member, he or she must accept the nomination (in the forum thread) before their name will actually be placed on the ballot.

Once nominations and candidate statements have been posted on the forums, a separate thread will be created on Monday, 21 February to allow all members the opportunity to question the candidates from that time until the actual election takes place between Friday, 5 March and Monday, 8 March 2010. This date will afford newly elected Board members the opportunity to participate (as non-voting members) in Board activities during the remainder of March, after which their 3-year terms will commence starting on April 1, 2010.

Election results will be determined by the number of votes received by each candidate. For example, if there are 4 or more candidates, the 3 receiving the most votes will be elected. In the event of a tie, an election runoff will be held between those candidates involved in the tie.

Please submit any questions in the forum thread, and I will attempt to answer them.

Sincerely,

Steve Newton, ICG Secretary
