Canton, MA -- The International Clubmakers Guild (ICG) a non-profit member owned organization formed to service membership in all aspects of the golf industry, announces that, Hirotaka Niimi, SOSAN Co. Ltd, Taiwan, was given the designation of ICG Certified Clubmaker. The ICG Certification Committee designated Mr. Niimi as certified after an extensive review and testing process as demonstrated by excellence in the field of golf club assembly and repair using current technology and Clubmaking techniques. The announcement was made by Steve Newton BOD President of the ICG.

2012 PGA Show Report

The PGA Merchandise Show has a history of introducing new golf products and ideas, and the 2012 Show was certainly no exception. The inaugural ICG Connection Center was one of the new ideas for 2012, and based on the early comments made by this year’s participants and attendees, the ICG Connection Center can be considered a success.

Thanks in large part to the efforts of our ICG Connection Center committee, the “Five P’s” adage (Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance) was proved right once again, and it’s safe to say that we took a giant step towards gaining greater industry recognition for the Guild!
